During the 1800's, the Victorians liked to not only give love letters on the 14th February, but also 'hate mail'. They'd often have small cards or postcards which had a satirical poem and illustration on them, the purpose of which was to insult the receiver. The short project asked us to create our own vinegar valentines whose insults would be aimed at a celebrity whom we really couldn't stand.

One of the most famous images of Kardashian is a cover shot for the magazine 'Paper' that was published in 2014. I decided to use this as inspiration when creating my vinegar valentines. I decided to exaggerate features such as her bum which she is seeming most famous for to try and emphasise the 'fakeness' of the whole campaign. I deliberately chose to create my image digitally as to add to this as the original photograph has obviously been heavily touched up and altered.
